Space Station Design Workshop, 21st -27th of July 2019

Print Email

The Institute of Space Systems and the University of Stuttgart present us with an unique opportunity addressed to master and PhD students, as well as young professionals with less than three years of work experience: the Space Station Design Workshop.

This one-week challenge takes place in Stuttgart, where a group of experts from industry and academia will guide two teams towards one goal: design a space station. Participants will have the opportunity to test and apply their theoretical knowledge and soft skills in an international, interdisciplinary yet competitive environment.

The requirements to participate to this event are simple: have English language skills, an interest in human spaceflight and the ability to work and communicate in an international, interdisciplinary team. Bear in mind that this opportunity is not limited to aerospace students as interdisciplinary cooperation is vital to such projects.

Furthermore, if getting to Stuttgart and finding a place to stay are the reason keeping you from applying, rest assured because the workshop is free, accommodation will be provided and partial travel support will be offered as well.

To find out more about the SSDW or apply to the event, feel free to check out their website www.irs.uni-stuttgart.de/SSDW. Applications are open until the 30th of April and successful applicants will be notified of the outcome before the end of May 2019.
