  About Bremen

Bremen is a city in the northern part of Germany, about 100 km southwest of Hamburg, and is situated on the river Weser. It has approximately half a million inhabitants, many of whom are students because of our three universities.
You find a lot of aviation and space related industries here, including, EADS / Airbus, OHB-Systems Satellites and the ZARM experimental droptower at the University of Bremen. But there are some other things which make any visit to Bremen even more worth the while. Everybody must have heard about the famous BECK´S Beer, one of Germany’s first breweries to export its beer worldwide.
Apart from our industry, we also have many interesting monuments and historical buildings, one of which is our Rathaus, Town Hall which is classified as a World Heritage Site due to its age and beauty.
